Boyd Pond is a shallow body of water
almost entirely surrounded by a quaking
bog. Much of the water surface is covered
with aquatic plants. The water quality is
not suitable for coldwater fisheries
management, but the pond provides
excellent habitat for warmwater species.
Black crappies, which have recently been
illegally introduced, are thriving and
are producing an excellent fishery.
Currently, Boyd Pond is open to fishing
both summer and winter.
Access to Boyd Pond is limited to walk-in
across private property.
