Lower Mason Pond is a segment of the Goose River. Lower Mason Pond and Upper Mason Pond could be considered the same pond except that a dam separates the two. The habitats of the two ponds are very similar and are suitable for largemouth bass. Largemouth bass will be transferred from a disease-free source and introduced to Lower Mason Pond when they become available. It is expected that largemouth bass will provide an excellent summer fishery once they become fully established. Access to Lower Mason Pond is from state route 141, where small boats and canoes can be launched. Upper Mason Pond is a segment of the Goose River. This wide spot in the river contains habitat which is ideally suited for largemouth bass. Largemouth bass will be transferred from a disease-free source and introduced to Upper Mason Pond when they become available. It is expected that largemouth bass will provide an excellent summer fishery once they become fully established. An unimproved access site is located off state route 141, where small boats and canoes are easily launched. Principal fishery: Chain pickerel
