Comments

  • Someone who fished here said....Some of the boulders protrude from the water and others hide just below the surface. My soundings showed a multitude of boulders jutting up from the bottom in a manner that reminded me of a mine field. And, if you cross this lake at high speeds without knowing its structure, one of these rocks could be crippling to you and your boat.

Toddy Pond Description

Toddy Pond is the perfect lake for a Maine getaway. Ten miles long, but only a mile or so wide, it has three distinct sections, and many rock outcroppings, making it the choice for those looking for a quieter alternative to other area lakes. (It’s not conducive to large pleasure boats because of its topography.) So if you are looking for a place of solitude to relax, swim, fish, and canoe, but with the convenience of nearby attractions, this is the place for you. The charming oceanfront town of Blue Hill is only 15 minutes away, with Acadia and Bar Harbor about a 45 minute drive. Toddy Pond Ramp located is off Route 3. The ramp is fairly new and in good shape. There is parking for around ten rigs; so it may be hard to get a spot on the weekend.
