Comment: Rock bass are a true member of the sunfish family. I don't believe that they are found in very many places in eastern MA, however in the central & western parts of the state, there are numerous places where Rock bass can be caught, with the BEST being the Connecticut River and it's many tributaries - the Rock bass THRIVE in that river system.

Comment: These things are fun to catch and will hit almost any bait. I've caught them on anything from minnows to poppers to rooster tails.

Comment: This was the first species I made expert angler on. I have caught most of my bigger fish on minnows in the dead of winter. My largest is 1-8.
