Principal fisheries: Smallmouth bass, chain pickerel
The biological survey of Moose Hill Pond found habitat ideal for smallmouth bass. In 1958, smallmouth bass were introduced with the approval of the Livermore Falls Water District, who uses the pond as a public water supply.
Follow-up studies to determine the success of the bass introduction were done in 1963 and again in 1980. Both studies found numerous young-of-the-year bass indicating successful spawning. The 1980 study reported a noticeable lack of larger bass when compared with the habitat available.
Anglers are encouraged to cooperate with the Livermore Falls Water District who has willingly agreed to multiple recreational use on Moose Hill Pond.
