Horn Pond Fishing Report
Horn Pond - 8/28/10 - Lunker City
Arrived at 5:00AM and started throwing a Pop-R. Caught 6 HUGE fish! Caught my biggest of the year also! Every strike was absoluteley heart-pounding topwater action.

Keyman!!! Thanks again for the photo! I'm glad you worked over that same spot and that the topwater pattern held! I knew I gave the right guy some good stuff! Thanks again, that fish was my personal best and a fish I'll never forget, I'll always have the photo :)

almost forgot--my lure was 4" and 3/8/oz and line test was 12lbs (on baitcaster).

Thanks bro! I was making long casts and then letting ALL of the ripples settle, and then I was popping it three times (POP...POP...POP) followed by a pause (let ripples settle) and every once in a while I was shaking it after the long pause. All of my strikes were right after the third pop, the pause, or when I would shake it. My POP-R had rattles in it and was a shad pattern. Good luck!

nice work man. sometimes it really pays off to get there early! That fish looks to be a good 5 pounds! I've actually never tried poppers. got any tips?
