Ledge Pond is a small shallow pond best suited for warm water fishery management. Water temperatures are
homothermous during the summer months. Largemouth bass and chain pickerel are the predominant fisheries.
Local anglers interested in creating a largemouth bass
fishery sparked the transfer of bass by the Department in1973. The transfer was successful as natural reproduction
was observed in 1979, and largemouth bass are providing a good fishery.
There is no public access to Ledge Pond, but anglers can obtain landowner permission. For this reason canoes
and kayaks are the best choice for anglers.
