Have you fished at Lower Richardson Lake? Be the first to comment on this fishing spot.
The nineteen mile long Richardson Lakes are the only bodies of water in the Rangely Lakes Region to hold Lake Trout (called Togue in Maine). Togue along with Landlocked Salmon and Brook Trout offer the lake fishermen a variety of possible fishing techniques. The shorelines of both Upper and Lower Richardson lakes are rocky, with a generally sandy bottom. The clear water in these deep lakes supports an excellent cold-water trout and salmon fishery (lake trout, brook trout, salmon). Such softwoods as spruce, fir, cedar, and white pine predominate, but much of the forest is fairly young, owing to extensive cutting prior to state acquisition.
