Moody Pond is a small, undeveloped water located in a populated area of the state, yet it offers the appearance of a remote trout pond. The pond thermally stratifies each summer and develops a severe oxygen deficiency below 10 feet, which prohibits the possibility of developing a good brook trout fishery. In addition, large numbers of competing species impact brook trout performance. As a result, legal sized brook trout are stocked each spring and they are providing a popular short-term fishery for local anglers.
A privately owned access road is located off Middle Road. Springtime access is mostly limited to 4-wheel drive vehicles or walk-in.
