Have you fished at Roberts And Wadley Pond? Be the first to comment on this fishing spot.
There is an unusually high percentage of unaltered shoreline surrounding Roberts Pond and the southerly shoreline of Wadley Pond. The northerly shoreline of Wadley Pond is densely developed
with seasonal camps and year-round homes.
An abundance of shallow water habitat supports dense beds of aquatic vegetation. Listed principal species are very abundant in the presence of
extensive spawning and nursery habitat. Recent unauthorized introductions ·of black crappie have become well established and are providing a fishery. Competition from warmwater fish and a severe late summer oxygen deficiency below 10 feet
significantly limits opportunities to manage for coldwater fisheries. Roberts and Wadley are best managed for warmwater fisheries. Public boat access is essentially nonexistent. Traditional access has occurred at the causeway,
where car top boats can be launched into Roberts Pond. Vehicle parking is restricted to the road shoulder. There is a need to secure long term public boat access provisions at Roberts and Wadley
Ponds.
