Principal fisheries: Brown trout, smallmouth bass, chain
pickerel
Round Pond is a relatively shallow body of water
located west of Route 4 in Livermore. A newly constructed
State owned boat-launching facility located on Route 4
provides public access.
Round Pond supports good fisheries for both
coldwater and warmwater sportfish. Coldwater fish
management emphasizes brown trout because browns can
better compete with warmwater fishes under marginal
water quality. Annual stockings are necessary to maintain a
fishery due to the lack of natural spawning and nursery
habitat.
