Principal fisheries: Largemouth bass, chain pickerel
Schoolhouse Pond is one of a series of small ponds
situated just west of Fayette Ridge. This shallow pond
is best suited for warmwater fisheries management.
Largemouth bass were successfully introduced by
Department biologists in 1959. Largemouths now provide
the principal fishery at Schoolhouse.
Schoolhouse Pond is open to fishing for warmwater gamefish through the end of October. The pond is also
open to ice fishing.
