Shadow Lake Rainbows

I'm back from my trip to New Hampshire, and my trip was full of trout. I'll post two to separate the fishing I did: brookies and rainbows. I stayed at Indian Head Resort in Lincoln. They had a pond called Shadow Lake in the back that was full of rainbows and perch. You could fish off shore or from a paddle boat, both of which I did. I caught nice rainbows throughout the trip on inline spinners and trout magnets jigs. There were lots of fish in the pond, big ones too, and they were easy to catch. The Resort also had a program that I got to partake in. When they stock the trout every year, some are given tags that are placed in the dorsal fin. If you catch one of these fish, you can remove the tag and bring it up front for a cash prize. On my final excursion to the pond, I caught one of the tagged fish and got five bucks to show for it. Five bucks may not be much, but hey, free money!
