Belden Pond Description

Belden Pond lies in an area of low, wooded hills and open fields near the eastern boundary of Palermo Township. The pond can be easily reached via a short hike
on a woods road off the Hostile Valley Road. Management of Belden Pond for a coldwater sport fishery would require chemical reclamation of the pond to
remove fish species that prey upon brook trout and compete with trout for food. However, since Belden Pond has an extensive tributary system and lacks a suitable site for a barrier dam, a complete kill of rough fish is highly unlikely.
