Foster Pond maintains water quality suitable for brook trout, but due to the heavy competition from warm water species the population will never be large. The pond has potential for chemical reclamation to remove these competitors and resume a brook trout stocking program. Unfortunately, there is currently no public access to Foster Pond. In 1990, an unsuccessful effort was made to obtain a public right-away to Foster Pond and other small ponds in the town of Palermo. Until public access is found no stocking is recommended.
